Hair Makeover at Lakme Absolute Salon Because #HairIsFashion

Whenever I think of a change or a makeover, it starts with my hair. Chopping long hair to short, or adding some color to your hair alone can drastically change your look. If you follow me on Instagram, you’d know that I recently went over a hair makeover at the Lakme Absolute Salon and today I am going to share my experience with you all.

My Experience at the Lakme Absolute Salon:

Before going for any haircut, I always like to do a bit of research of haircuts and if I like any, I would only go for that cut. However, this time I decided to go with an open mind and was really ready to experiment with my hair. You can check my Vlog below to know my thought process before the haircut. 😛

When I stepped inside the plush Lakme Absolute Salon at Bandra, my hairstylist, Santosh was already waiting for me. It is such a nice feeling when you don’t have to wait to for your turn at a salon. Santosh is an absolute perfectionist my consultation with him was amazing. He wasn’t very pushy and suggested me few looks based on my hair and my lifestyle. While I really liked The Helix Flair, I wasn’t really confident about the bold, purple streaks. Later, we finally decided to settle with brown global color and caramel highlights. He suggested to keep the highlights minimal and not very OTT.

He started by taking small section in my hair to apply lightener and covered them in foils. After he was done with the pre-lighteners, he started with my global hair color. After keeping the air color for 30 mins, I was finally able to see my new hair and I loved what I saw. My hair color was exactly what I wanted. It wasn’t too light, nor too dark and went really well with my medium complexion. I also loved the fact the caramel highlights so subtle and blended flawlessly with my hair.

To finish my makeover, Santosh suggested to add some long layers to my flat, boring hair. While I insisted on keeping my length, the layers did add a lot of drama to my hair and enhanced the overall look of my tresses. Honestly. the camera couldn’t really capture the gorgeous subtle highlights but trust me, it look amazing in person.

Lakme Salon says truly believe that ‘Hair’ can truly make or break a look, and I couldn’t agree more.
