L’Oreal Professionnel Tecni Art Wet Domination Extreme Splash – Review
As much as I love trying out new hair products like hair colors, shampoos, conditioners, etc; I like to play safe with my hair cuts & hair styles. Almost 90% of the times, I keep my hair open & other 10% is a pony tail. So when I was sent the L’Oreal Tecni Art Wet Domination Extreme Splash, I decided to play safe and try it by doing a wet-sleek ponytail. But… L’Oreal had other plans for me.
L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni Art Wet Domination Extreme Splash:
Inspired by the explosion of wet looks on runways and red carpets, L’Oréal Professionnel creates Extreme Splash– an elastic-hold, wet look gelée for an ultra-sleek, yet supple effect that lasts, even in extreme conditions. Its revolutionary unbreakable technology includes a mix of high-fixing, texturizing polymers and glycerin. It can be used on dry or damp and on any length. Extreme Splash is ideal to create wet looks – from a slicked back, after-pool look to the wet look ballerina bun, or even dual-textured styling effects.
My Review on L’Oreal Professionnel Tecni Art Wet Domination Extreme Splash:
So when I received this product in my mail for review, the only way I could think of using this was with a sleek, high ponytail. Really? How else could you create a wet look on long hair? So all set to try & test this product, I tied my hair up in a ponytail and taking a tiny amount of product in my hand, I started applying it through my hairline pushing it backwards.
It comes in an attractive blue packaging with an easy pump dispenser. The product inside is blue in color and feels like a thick gelee. On application, it feels cold but spreads on easily &sets into a glossy-wet finish. Surprisingly, it feels extremely light weight and doesn’t weigh my hair down. The beest part, it holds on the look like forever or until you wash it off!
While I loved the sleek high ponytail I created at home, I also got an opportunity to get my hair styled by the expert at L’Oreal Professionals using this amazing product. I mentioned my creative limitations and told her the only way I knew you use the product was to sleek out my ponytail. So was super kind and suggested few different ways I could use L’Oreal Professionnel Tecni Art Wet Domination Extreme Splash. She also offered to demonstrate an amazing hairdo on my tresses and being me, I jumped up with joy!
I so wanted to recreate the Eva Green high quiff hairdo but I was afraid that I won’t be able to carry it. Hence, she created a very subtle yet dramatic version of the same hairstyle as sported by Eva Green. She started by sectioning my hair to make a quiff in the front and tied the rest in a high ponytail. She applied the product on the sides of my hair to give them that smexy, wet, sleek look. For the quiff, she started by backcombing my hair and pinned by up to make an edgy, everyday quiff on my hair.
Honestly, I had my doubts before she started but I loved the overall look. Although, I am not fond of experimenting with my hair, the sleek sides with the edgy quiff really got me hooked. This hairdo also makes my features look more sharp & chiseled which was amazing!
So it has been almost two weeks since this experiential and so far, I have not stopped experimented with L’Oreal Professionnel Tecni Art Wet Domination Extreme Splash. I have tried the textured wet look, wet side swept, wet curls and what not!
