My Review :
The first brush when I started using foundation was from a cheap brand. I didn’t like that brush as the application wasn’t even with lot of streaks. I had been loyal to sponge for my foundation application since then as the brush didn’t work for me. But then, I met MAC 190 foundation brush and it changed my opinion about foundation brushes.
MAC 190 Foundation Brush is a flat brush with oval-shaped bristles. The handle is a bit too long to even fit in my makeup bag. Also, the disposable plastic packaging is a disappointment. I got mine in a disposable plastic but I think they should offer a proper clear pouch like the one that comes with the short hand blush / powder brush.
The bristles of MAC 190 Foundation Brush are super fine, soft, flexible and extremely densely packed. I’ve been using this brush for a very long time and I have hardly noticed any bristles shed. Till now, I’ve used this brush with all kinds of products like liquids, BB creams, tinted moisturizer & foundation and it works equally good for all of them. MAC 190 Foundation Brush provides and even and well blended finish to my foundation. Also, I’ve noticed that the amount of product required for full coverage is now very less as compared to an application with sponge. The rounded bristles are helps in getting into hard to reach areas such as round the nose.
Overall, MAC 190 Foundation Brush is a classic staple in my stash. It helps me get a full streak free coverage with an excellent blending to provide and a more natural appearance while saving a lot of product. 🙂 It is indeed expensive but worth and an investment. 🙂
