My combination skin adores Gel creme more than normal Oil based creme / moisturizers. After an amazing experience with L’Oreal Paris Hydra Fresh Gel Creme I thought of giving this beauty a try (Read for review purpose). Lotus claimed that this Gel creme will keep my skin hydrated while Whitening and Brightening effects. Will it meet my expectations ? Read my review to find that out.

My Review :
While hunting for a nice Gel Creme, the SA requested me to at least swatch the Lotus Herbal WhiteGlow gel. I still regret the moment I agreed for that. When she massaged a little amount of the Gel on my hand, I was super impressed by the Glow-y effect it gave. I picked it up with high hopes and dreaming of getting rid of all my tan like a miracle.
Lotus Herbals WhiteGlow Skin Whitening & Brightening Gel Creme comes in a transparent glass jar with a steel, mirror like finish screw cap on top. I like the way it looks but its too heavy to carry around in my bag. It also come with the description, ingredients and need to know on the box.
The gel creme is white in color with the perfect consistency. It has a mild fragrance which but nothing OTT and I quite like it.The texture is somewhere between gel and creme and gets absorbed easily when applied. I like that the creme does not leave a white cast like most fairness cremes. It also makes my skin glow to some extent.
This gel, however, failed to stand on its whitening claim. I didn’t notice any whitening or brightening on my skin neither did it help to reduce my tan. I also expected a bit if moisturizing from this light weight gel but I was disappointed when it caused some stretching due to dryness. Now the worst part, the dryness made me re apply the gel creme but to my horror, the creme was flaking. Yes ! I could feel the flakes and they were all over my face which really made me worried for the first time. I am absolutely disappointed.
Overall, I think its a nice gel creme for summers when you don’t need a lot of moisturizing or any oily moisturizer to cause any breakouts. If you are going by its claims then stay away ladies !
Why I liked it ?
- Light weight gel creme.
- Gets easily absorbed into the skin.
- Made my skin glow to some extent.
- Easily available.
- Inexpensive
Why I didn’t like it ?
- No visible whitening effect.
- Not moisturizing.
- Bulky packaging.
- Flakes when layered.

Bummer about the flaking… I feel like that’s a pretty big “turn off” when it comes to a moisturizer since you may want to slather it on. Thank you for including the ingredients – That’s such a huge help!

I only buy whitening creams/face washes only to get rid of tan, so thus wouldn’t work for me 🙁 Oh btw does your skin like get dry in like small patches? Winter made my skin quite dry and now I’m like stuck with oily t zone and dry patches :(( difficult to choose a cream. Can suggest one ?? 🙂
I had never heard of Whiteglow skin whitening cream before. I might give it a try as I like the fact that it contains more natural ingredients such as Mulberry extract.

when I was using this product,pimples started appearing on my face(no offence).My face was a pimple-free face but when I started using it, after 3 days, I could feel irritation and slowly pimples started to appear.Please

same thing happened to me too.My face was pimple free and since I started using this, i started getting pimples.To test it I stooped it using for 1 week and started using.Then pimple started popping up again.So this one definitively a big no to me and wont recommend this product to anyone.

I too used it my acne marks was lightened by gel crime but still flakes are visible diz due to milk enzyme present in it .so in my opinion apply it at night for best results,not being fussy over flakes
after applying for 3 days ,i m getting pimples , so i m thinking to apply only 2 days a week ..as i can feel my dark undereye circles r been ligten wih the lotus white glow,but pimples uuff !!! .. right now i hv 3 whitining creams in my cupboard garneir night peeling fairness, vichi b white advance , & lotus white glow ..confuse please help friends.

How do I receive lighter skin? Really dramatically, from Corbin-Bleu skin to Marie-Digby skin. Without buying any treatments. I don’t care that much about the speed, because long because it takes lower than 2 years.
im satisfied with lotus whitening and brightening cream,dis appointting is , it is not available every where do its higher price….its available only in higher cities………..

I completely agree with ur review. I too hv tried this cream. I hv dry but acne prone skin with pigmentation.
Though I did feel slight whitening effect but as u said
its not moisturising, so its mainly for summers &
it flakes if u apply a little more.
Furthermore, I felt it gave me a few acnes on using it regularly over time.
So I definitely wont buy it again. Though my sister really liked it since she has normal skin (no acnes).
I checked its ingredients through an acne site & it has 7 Comedogenic (acne causing) ingredients!!! Though it has skin lightening agents as well.
Even I got pimples all over my face after using it for 3 days… Kindly give me the solution. I tryed it to remove my tan but it make my face so ugly
