The Art of Starting Over: My Journey from Chaos to Calm
Hi there! 👋
Ever had one of those mornings where everything feels like it’s falling apart? You’re running late, your toddler is screaming for the “blue cup, not the green one!” and somehow your laptop decides it’s the perfect time to freeze? That was me—a walking tornado of deadlines, tantrums, and coffee stains.
And yet, somewhere in the middle of all that chaos, I found a moment of clarity. A moment that whispered, “What if you started over?”
The Chaos That Sparked Change
Life wasn’t always this loud. Before the pandemic, I had my routines down to a science—9-to-6 in the corporate beauty world, dinners with friends, and time to indulge in my love for blogging. But then, like for so many of us, the world turned upside down.
Suddenly, I was juggling product launches over Zoom while trying to figure out why my WiFi hated me. The cherry on top? Pregnancy. Let me tell you, nothing says “test your limits” like being nauseous during a high-stakes marketing meeting.
The chaos didn’t stop there. Motherhood arrived with its own orchestra of sleepless nights and endless questions. Somewhere between diapers and deadlines, I lost touch with the part of me that loved creating, connecting, and sharing stories here. But what felt like a breakdown was actually the start of something new.
The Beauty of Letting Go
Starting over wasn’t easy. It meant letting go of the idea that I had to do everything perfectly. It meant giving myself permission to pause, reflect, and rebuild—on my own terms.
At first, it felt like failure. Why couldn’t I keep up? Why did everything feel so heavy? But then I realized something: Sometimes, we need to let go of what isn’t working to make room for what will. The beauty of starting over is that it gives you a chance to rewrite your story.
For me, that meant embracing the chaos instead of fighting it. I learned to laugh when things didn’t go as planned, to celebrate the small wins (like getting through a meeting without baby spit-up on my shirt), and to find calm in the moments that mattered most.
Embracing the Calm
Calm didn’t come easy. I had to carve it out—little by little, moment by moment. It looked like morning chai with no distractions, journaling during nap time, and rediscovering the joy of sharing stories that resonate.
This blog became my anchor. A space to reflect, to create, and to connect. Through every post, I want to remind myself—and you—that life doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful. Chaos and calm can coexist, and it’s in that balance where we often find our strength.
This comeback isn’t just about returning to blogging. It’s about reintroducing myself, redefining my voice, and embracing the art of starting over.
