My Review on Revlon Colorstay Concealer ’06 Deep’ :
Revlon Colorstay Concealer comes in a transparent tube with a doe foot applicator. Even though I find the transparent packaging convenient, it’s probably not too hygienic to use the doe foot directly onto pimples or infected areas, so I usually dab it on my hand before dabbing it on to blemishes/pimples I want to cover up.
Revlon Colorstay Concealer comes in 6 different shades and ’06 Deep’ is the darkest amongst all. I am disappointed to see that there wouldn’t be a match for beauties beyond NC 45. Even though the concealer looks just a little warm on me, when tried on a friend who is NC45, it turned out looking too grey. I did not notice any obvious scent, just a normal concealer smell that I got used to after a while.
The consistency of Revlon Colorstay Concealer isn’t super thick, nor is it super runny. It blends in like a dream and gives a medium – buildable coverage. However, it may look caked up if you layer it up too much. I recommend patting the concealer gently with your finger instead of just smearing it over blemishes.
It works great to cover up blemishes and redness around my nose but somehow it doesn’t sit well under my eyes. I tried it under my eyes and it started to crease within few minutes. It may work really well for people with oily lids / under eyes as it tends to soak up the access oil I believe. On the upside, it lasts throughout the day and gives a matte finish.
[box type=”shadow” align=”aligncenter” ]Overall, Revlon Colorstay Concealer isn’t the best concealer I’ve tried so far but it isn’t too bad either. It does help in covering up scars / blemishes and also works well on redness and lasts throughout the day. However, it isn’t the best concealer for undereye area (unless you do a lot of prep+prime before hand). I also think that there should have been few darker shades in the collection.
Revlon Colorstay Concealer is available is 6 shades and comes with a price tag of Rs. 775. [/box]
