My Review :

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder has become my HG powder, honestly ! I can’t go out without it. 🙂

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder comes in a round pan and a transparent lid with the title engrossed. The product is visible through the lid with the information marked at the bottom sticker. The packaging is attractive but not travel friendly. I honestly don’t care that it doesn’t have a mirror but the lid doesn’t lock and often opens up in my bag. 🙁

I really wanted to try the transparent shade but it wasn’t available online and I got Sandstorm instead. It’s tinted and give me natural coverage. Since it doesn’t contain any puff for application, I use my flat top Kabuki brush instead. You can use any powder brush or any applicator from your current compact. It feels extremely light yet absorbs all the oil from my face amazingly well. I do a full face dusting while leaving the house and a swirl on my T-zone once during the day. It supposed to last for 5 hours but my T-zone demands more after 3 hours or so.

I use Lakme Absolute White Intense foundation which trouble me a during summer but this powder has made it behave. It sets the liquid foundation really well. I like the flawless, air brush finish I get with this product. It also helps in minimizing pores. It doesn’t feel cake y with multiple application unless you go overboard with it. It keeps my skin matte for a long time.

Overall, it is an amazing product for the price tag it comes with. It keeps me oil free for hours with a flawless finish. I like it better than the Maybelline Dream Matte Pressed Powder. If you don’t mind the clumsy packaging, you should definitely give it a try. I have used it to create Tabu’s Harper Bazaar Inspired Makeup Look.

Why I liked it ?

  • Flawless, air brush finish.
  • Non cake y.
  • Natural, Matte coverage.
  • Keep me oil / shine free for 3-4 hours.
  • Sets liquid foundation really well.
  • Easy on the pocket.

Why I didn’t like it ?

  • Clumsy packaging.
  • No puff or mirror.
  • Oily skin beauties may need frequent touch ups.
  • Availability might be a issue.

Rating :

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder comes with a price tag of  195 and is available at Parcos stores across the country. You can also buy it online from Slassy.com

  3. First of all thanks for the review, Hina! I am loving this product for a few months but was waiting for a useful review to read before buying it. Now I have a question, I have a wheatish complexion and I currently use Lakme Radiance Compact in Natural Shell. Could you please tell me which shade of this Stay Matte Powder will suit me? I am intending to buy it online. Eagerly waiting for your reply. Thanks.
