The Body Shop Red Musk Eau De Parfum – Review

Last week, I attended the launch event of The Body Shop Red Musk Eau De Parfum and I was told that the key ingredients in this fragrance is Cinnamon and Tobacco. I like floral & citrus-y scent and the last thing I wanted to do was smell like an ashtray. I was so wrong! This EDP is warm, sultry & oh so spicy!

The Body Shop Red Musk Eau De Parfum:

Defy conventions with Red Musk™ eau de parfum. Spiced musk with hot notes of cinnamon and intense tobacco for a distinctly different fragrance.

 • No flowers – just a bold blend of musk and spice
 • Contains cruelty-free musk
 • Lasting eau de parfum

My Review on The Body Shop Red Musk Eau De Parfum:

They say that you can’t judge a product from its packaging but the packaging of this perfume is totally in sync with its fragrance. The tinted glass bottle looks so warm and seductive itself. Well, since it’s a glass bottle, it does feel a bit heavy but I would totally ignore it for the overall look.

Like I stated before, I love floral notes and was a bit apprehensive to try something which has no floral notes at all! Even after sniffing it from the bottle, it failed to please my senses. However, on trying it on my wrist, I loved the way it blended with my skin. It starts out with a very sharp scent (which I believe is pepper) and then turn to a very warm & sweet (cinnamon) to smokey (tobacco).

I love the fact that even though Tobacco is such a masculine scent, it goes so perfectly with this fragrance. I also like the way all the scents blend together without overpowering the other. All spices sync perfectly and smell amazing on the skin than in the bottle. It lasts on me for about 5 hours and starts fading after that.

[box type=”shadow” ]All in all, The Body Shop has taken femininity differently with this fragrance. The unique blend of spices brings out a rich, warm & spicy fragrance. This fragrance definitely makes me feel sophisticated & grown up. If sweet, floral scents aren’t your cuppa tea, you’d love this one.[/box]

The Body Shop Red Musk Eau De Parfum is priced at INR 2995 for 60 ml and is available across all The Body Shop stores.
