My Review :

I can’t stress enough how important it is to use sunscreen. If you don’t, wake up ladies ! Your skin will thank you for it, trust me. 🙂

Lacto Calamine Sun Shield comes in a white tube with yellow flip cap. It is very convenient to use and also very travel friendly. The cardboard box and the tube covers all the ‘need to know’ information. It has that typical smell which I can’t describe but nothing OTT.

Lacto Calamine Sun Shield comes in two variants and I got to try the ‘dry to normal skin’ one. The consistency is creamy, more like a thick body lotion. I like how easily it glides on my skin leaving it soft and smooth. It does leave a white cast on my face which settles down in sometime. It kind of moisturize my face and thankfully, haven’t caused me any breakouts.

My major concern is the SWEAT ! My face sweats like hell and have to keep a spare tissue all the time to wipe it off. BTW, the sunscreen is wiped off with the sweat which leaves my skin without sun protection and in need of reapplication.  In this case, I will finish up the entire tube within  a weeks time. 😛

Overall, I am not really pleased with the Lacto Calamine Sun Shield. If you live in a ‘sweat proof’ world, you can give it a try. 😛 I will probably use it during winter or otherwise on my hands to finish it up.

Why I liked it ?

  • Convenient and travel friendly packaging.
  • Contains Aloe-Vera extracts.
  • Makes my skin soft and smooth.
  • Works as a moisturizer.
  • No breakouts.
  • Affordable.

Why I didn’t like it ?

  • Sweat ! Sweat !! Sweat !!!
  • Leaves a whitish cast.
  • Needs lots of reapplication because of the sweat.

  1. I hate it when sunscreens make me sweat…all my time gets wasted in re-applying :/ Had same issue with Lotus cream sunscreens, gel one works fine though 🙂
