Lakme Clean Up ‘Face Wash, Scrub & Mask’ – Review

Lakme Clean Up 'Face Wash, Mask & Scrub' - Review

When Lakme claimed to give a salon like cleanup at home, I wasn’t really convinced. To put my doubts on test, I got the kit last month. Did it change my opinion ? Read more to find that out.

Lakme Clean Up Nourishing Glow Range :

This easy to use professional clean-up kit comes with three unique new formulations: a face wash, a scrub and a mask. Enriched with strawberry extracts, the face wash cleanses all visible dirt, the scrub exfoliates dead cells and the mask nourishes the skin. Just like a salon clean-up!

I will be reviewing them individually for you guys.

Lakme Clean-Up Nourishing Glow Face Wash Review

Lakme Clean-Up Nourishing Glow Face Wash :

Lakme Clean-Up Nourishing Glow Face Wash :

Infused with strawberry extracts & glycerin, Lakmé Clean-up Face wash polishes your skin leaving it dirt free, fresh & smooth with a salon-like irresistible glow.

How to use Lakmé Clean-Up Nourishing Glow Face Wash : Squeeze a coin sized amount on your palms and lather up with lukewarm water. Gently massage your wet face for 30-60 seconds. Rinse with lukewarm water. Use it at least twice a day for clean, soft and radiant skin.

My Review :

Remember the good old Lakme Fruit Blast Face wash ? This remind me of exactly the same. The red and silver packaging is attractive and travel friendly. The first thing that attracted me was the refreshing fruity smell. The smell is so tempting, like a strawberry juice that you’d p’bly feel like drinking it. 😛  Lakme Clean Up Face Wash is gel like in consistency with red micro beads. Don’t expect exfoliation from the beads since they’re too gentle and you might not even feel it on your face.

Lakme Clean Up Face Wash lathers really well and is a small quantity will go a long way. I love how my skin feels so refreshing, clean and soft post using this face wash. It’s gentle and doesn’t make my skin dry nor does it hydrates.

Overall, this face wash removes visible dirt, oil and impurities from my face. It’s  an average, refreshing face wash for everyday use.

Rating :

Lakme Clean-Up Nourishing Glow Face Wash is priced at  80 for 50 g and  145 for 100 g.

Infused with strawberry extracts & glycerin, Lakmé Clean-up Scrub polishes your skin leaving it dirt free, fresh & smooth with a salon-like irresistible glow.

How to use Lakmé Clean-Up Nourishing Glow Scrub : Squeeze out sufficient amount of to cover your face and neck. Gently massage for 2-3 minutes in circular motion with fingertips, avoiding eye contour. Concentrate around problem areas like nose, chin and forehead. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Use it once or twice a week, as required to get deeply clean and smooth skin.

My Review :

If you like St. Ives Apricot Scrub, you’ll love this one too. The mild strawberry smell makes it even more refreshing. The texture of Lakme Clean Up Scrub is thick and creamy and spreads evenly on the face. The granules of the scrub are just perfect – neither too big, nor too small. It doesn’t feel harsh on my skin and does an amazing job in exfoliation. Lakme Clean Up Scrub removes the dead skin cells and blackheads effectively revealing radiant, new skin.

Overall, Lakme Clean Up Scrub makes my skin soft, fresh and clean. I’d definitely purchase it again. If you’ve not tried it yet, you should do it soon. 🙂

Rating :

Lakmé Clean-Up Nourishing Glow Scrub is priced at  99 for 40 g and  199 for 80 g.

Lakmé Clean-Up Nourishing Glow Mask:

Lakmé Clean-Up Nourishing Glow Mask:

The power of clay & Vitamin B3 reduces pores & locks in moisture while strawberry extract pampers, smoothens & lightens your skin tone giving it a radiant glow.

How to use Lakmé Clean-Up Nourishing Glow Mask : Apply the mask generously all over your face and neck in a thin film. Avoid the eye contour. Allow it to dry for 5 to 7 minutes. Dab it with water to soften it and gently rinse off. Use it once a week, to get salon-like healthy glowing skin.

My Review :

Face Masks are my favorite step in my skin care routine. Lakmé Clean Up Mask is thick and creamy in consistency and spreads easily on wet face. Its a clay based mask & takes up to 15 minutes to dry up completely. It does give a little tightening effect on my face but nothing like ‘multani mitti mask’. The mask comes off easily from the face but you may find some white traces which would require extra water. After washing, I honestly didn’t notice a lot of difference. It did remove the excess oil and dirt from my face but I didn’t notice any instant glow or skin lightening.

Overall, Lakmé Clean Up Mask made my skin fresh and clean however didn’t stand upon its claim for glowing, nourished skin. Again, a very average face mask by Lakme which I’d happily skip.

Rating :

Lakmé Clean-Up Nourishing Glow Mask is priced at  99 for 50 g and  199 for 100 g.

All in all, I like the ‘Clean Up at Home’ concept by Lakme. However, I find the claims are far too exaggerated. As much as I love the Lakmé Clean-Up Scrub, I would happily skip the Lakmé Clean-Up Mask and the Lakmé Clean-Up Face Wash falls somewhere in between. The entire range is pretty affordable and it won’t hurt your pocket to give it a try.

I got the Lakme Cleanup Nourishing Glow Range kit from medplusbeauty.com for  299.
