Lakme Lip Love Lip Care ‘Strawberry’ – Review & Swatches

If you know me, you’d know my obsession with tinted lip balms. They are cute, moisturizing & pigmented! I have recently reviewed Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm & today I am going to review this cutie by Lakme. Let’s find out if this live up to my expectations.

My Review on Lakme Lip Love Lip Care ‘Strawberry’:

Lakme has definitely hit it hard on the packaging. It comes in a cute pink colored packaging with a clear lid. The font on the cap is what makes it stand out the most. The cap fits on securely and stays intact in my bag. I absolutely love the packaging of Lakme Lip Love Lip Care.

The balm itself is dual core with the center bit as the moisturizer and the outer part is packed with pink color to provide pigmentation. However, in reality, the pigmentation is next to nothing. When I buy a tinted lip balm, I expect the pigmentation to be visible but this fail to do that. The pink tint is too sheer and wouldn’t cover the pigmentation on the lips. It adds a nice hue & glossy shine but very less pigmentation!

The texture is smooth & glides on effortlessly on my lips without tugging or pulling on the lips. It also has a mild strawberry scent which disappears within seconds of application. It doesn’t feel heavy or sticky on the lips & keeps my lips hydrated for around 3 hours & requires a reapplication post that. My lips aren’t very dry but those with extreme dry lips might not find it enough hydrating. The inclusion of SPF 15 is great to protect lips from Sun and prevent further darkening.

[box type=”shadow” ]Overall, Lakme Lip Love Lip Care didn’t meet my expectations of a tinted lip balm. It comes in a cute packaging with a dual core balm with the inclusion of SPF 15. However, it highly lacks in the pigmentation department. The tint is too sheer & wouldn’t cover pigmented lips. It is lightweight & non sticky but wouldn’t last for more than 3 hours. I’d skip this one!
