I prefer using hair oils as serum. They are natural and have their own benefits. I was using argan oil as a serum for a while now and was very pleased with the results. Recently, I started using L’Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Extraordinary Hair Oil and honesty, I have mixed feeling about it.

L’Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Extraordinary Hair Oil:

Application:

Apply on hair and scalp and gently massage before washing off. Can also be applied as a finishing touch.

My Review on L’Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Extraordinary Hair Oil:

L’Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Extraordinary Hair Oil comes is a super luxurious golden glass bottle with a screw cap on top. I quite like the of the bottle but it is not very user-friendly. The glass bottle is heavy and not safe for travel.

L’Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Extraordinary Hair Oil is transparent and has a soothing fragrance which lingers for a while and then fades away. The oil is very light and non greasy. Since it is light weight, it easily gets absorbed into my scalp. However, I do not enjoy it using as a massaging oil. I have been using rich oils to massage my scalp for a while now and like that texture more than this light weight one.

I used it a couple of times to massage my hair, left it overnight and washed my hair in the morning. Since I have long hair, the quantity required to cover my tresses was way more than any regular hair oil. Secondly, I wasn’t satisfied with the results either. My hair felt very normal and there wasn’t any extraordinary result.

However, after washing my hair wash, I used a tiny amount of hair oil as a serum and absolutely loved the results. It imparted amazing shine to my hair. My hair felt smother & softer. It also made my hair less frizzy &  more manageable.

[box type=”shadow” ]All in all, L’Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Extraordinary Hair Oil isn’t the perfect hair oil for my chemically treated hair. It didn’t offer enough nourishment to my hair and the results were nothing extraordinary. However, I loved it as a serum. When used as a serum, it keeps my mane soft, smooth & shiny. I definitely recommend this as a hair serum but not as a hair oil.
