Lotus Herbals Moistpetals in ‘Red Rover’ – Review & Swatches.

Today, under focus, we have the hot lipstick from Lotus Herbals Moistpetals in ‘Red Rover’. This is my second lipstick from Lotus Herbals after Pure Colors in Carnation which I am totally in love with. Would this be my new love ? Lets find out.

100% vegetarian, Moistpetals is a range of premium quality lip colours, available in 20 attractive shades. This range not only gives your lips a natural colour, but also hydrates, nourishes and protects them for long hours.

Active Ingredients : Enriched with the botanical extracts of Symphytum Officinale, Plantago Oyata and Sambucus Nigra Seeds.

My Review :

Lotus Herbals Moistpetals lipstick comes in a gorgeous Red and Gold packaging. I like the way they have engraved the Gold on the cap with the brand name. It also had the brand logo on the top and shade mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick.

Red Rover 112 is a gorgeous red color with orange undertones. It also has some gold shimmer in it  which makes it stand out from other red lipsticks I have. It isn’t a rich deep red color but a pretty color and gives a orangy golden glaze upon light reflection. Also, the shimmer  does not feel grainy on the lips when applied. I believe this color should flatter most of the Indian skin tones.

The texture of Lotus Herbals Moistpetals lipstick is super smooth and creamy. It glides on the lips like a butter and gives a opaque color in a single swipe. The intensity can be built up in multiple swipes. It has a mild smell which goes off in sometime. It is also very lightweight and odes not smudge or bleed outside lip line.

The lipstick is moisturizing but you may require a lip balm underneath for a super dry lips. I am not happy with the staying power of the  lipstick. It stays for around 3 hours and fades away with a red tint behind. Why I liked it ?

• Does not smudge, bleed or settle into fine lines.
• Lotus claims it is 97% natural.

Why I didn’t like it ?

• Not long lasting.
• The color might not suit very dusky tones.
