My review :

Does your skin acts crazy like mine ? Half year its combinations and the others half, its super dry. So, during the combination period, I was in search of a natural looking every day foundation. I met MAC Matchmaster foundation and fell in love.

To start with, I quite like the packaging of MAC Matchmaster Foundation with the pump attached (unlike studio fix fluid). You can twist the cap to lock or unlock the pump. The pump dispenses right amount of product and usually two pumps are sufficient to cover my entire face. I would have preferred a plastic bottle instead of glass since the glass is heavy and is prone to damage.

I love the texture of MAC Matchmaster Foundation. It is smooth, creamy, silky and easy to blend. It is also lightweight and water resistant. It provides medium coverage which is buildable to cover redness and blemishes but you’ll still need a concealer for those stubborn dark spots. Unlike other MAC foundation, Matmaster in number in 1.0, 1.5,…..,10.0 series. I hate the NC / NW funda.

I like the way it makes my skin look. It evens out my skin and makes it look naturally flawless. It sets to semi matte finish and provides that luminous glow which I totally digg for. It stays matte for around 6-7 hours and then starts to fade away since I can see my blemishes reappearing. It doesn’t look cakey at all. If you’ve super oily skin, a powder on top with help you go a long way without the shine.

My only concern with this foundation is that it tends to set in the dry patches around my cheeks. Dry skin people need to stay away from this foundation. If you still want to go ahead, make sure to moisturize your face extremely well. If you’ve super oily skin, you might require powder touch up with powder every 4-5 hours. Also, since it contains SPF 15, do not take pictures with flash with the foundation on.

I am wearing the MAC Matchmaster foundation in my Smokey Eyes Tutorial here.

  1. plastic? you get what you pay for! you dont see high end brands like NARS selling their foundation in Plastic bottles…or perfume brands in plastic.

  2. the photo comment is wrong. every foundation has some type of spf in it. the gray caste youre getting is from the titanium dioxide.
