MAYBELLINE BABY LIPS BRIGHTS ‘NEON ROSE’ – REVIEW & SWATCHES

I am obsessed with tinted lip balms and have collected a lots of them till now. Today, I’ll be reviewing the Maybelline Baby Lips Brights in Neon Rose which is the latest addition to my obsession collection.

My Review on  Maybelline Baby Lips Brights :

Maybelline Baby Lips Brights comes in a bright & colorful packaging with neon lips drawn on the cover. Enclosed is a small twist up tube in bright fuchsia color. The twist up tube is small & handy and fits anywhere easily. I usually like to carry it in my pockets. 😛

Neon Rose looks crazy bright pink in the tube, but goes almost sheer on the lips. It requires a lot of layering for the color to show up. Unfortunately, the color wouldn’t be visible on pigmented lips. I wish there would have been more pigmentation but on the brighter side, it has considerably better payoff than the original ones. Maybelline Baby Lips Brights has a very mild sweet fragrance which disappears within seconds of application. It also has a very subtle flavours which isn’t bothering and is pleasant to my taste buds.

Maybelline Baby Lips Brights also comes with an improved texture which doesn’t feel sticky or waxy. It glides on easily and doesn’t feel heavy in my lips.  Due to the goodness of vitamin E and Jojoba Oil my lips are moisturized and well hydrated for up to 3-4 hours but it doesn’t stand upon the 8 hours claims. I would also like to mention the inclusion of SPF 16 in these lip balm which I really appreciate. I mean who wouldn’t want their lips to be pampered and protected at the same time ?

[box type=”shadow” ]Overall, Maybelline Baby Lips Bright aren’t the most amazing lip balm out there but they do a pretty good job of a lip balm. It provides moisturization & protection with a hint of color on my lips. I just wish it was a tad bit more pigmented. I think these would be great budget picks for young girls who shy away from lipsticks. [/box]
