My Review :

I am on Maybelline sphere this month. This is my fourth post on it. I didn’t even realize when I fell in Love with Maybelline. As they say ‘Maybe she is born with it, Maybe she is Maybelline.’ Lol ! enough of PJ’s, lets get back to the business.

One fine day, Maybelline got inspired by ‘Mac Paint Pots’ and came up with ‘Color Tattoo’ . Thank you Maybelline for introducing Color Tattoo for people like me who have to think 10 times before investing in Mac products. I got this tattoo last with in my Maybelline Mini haul and like the Maybelline Rubylicious Lipstick, used it so many times already.
It comes in the small glass tub with a black lid on top, exactly like Mac Paint pots. 😛 The color is see through thru the glass pot which makes it easier while searching in a messy vanity like mine. Also, it contains a huge amount of eye shadow in the tub which would last for a long time as you need only a small amount each time. I got a free brush with the eye shadow which is a very nice gesture. The brush isn’t amazing but it does a very nice job. However, I still prefer my fingers to apply the color on my lids as it  time saving blends easily.
It comes in 8 stunning shades named Too Cool, Fierce & Tangy, Audacious Asphalt, Painted Purple, Pomegranate Pink, Tough As Taupe, Tenacious Teal, Edgy Emerald and Bad to the Bronze. I went for the most wearable and most talked about shade among st all, bad to the Bronze. To me, it is not Bronze at all but a shimmery golden/taupe shade which, I am certain, will flatter every complexion.
Maybelline Color Tattoo didn’t disappoint me with the texture or pigmentation either. The texture is smooth, creamy and easily blend-able. It is also very well pigmented and can be built up easily for more intensity. Once applied, the color does not smudge or crease. It lasted on me for more than 12 hours. Yes, I wanted to see if it really stays for 24 hours as it claims, hence I kept it overnight (stupid things I do for reviews) 😛 I have dry lids and it dried pretty fast when applied so has to be quick while blending.
It is a perfect eye shadow base for me for night outs and great single eye shadow for day wear. It is my on the go beautiful eye shadow which is quick to apply, no hassle of re applying, does not smudge / crease and last all day ! What else would want ? Other shades in this range of course ! 😛
Why I liked it ?
  • Stunning 8 shades to choose from.
  • Easy to apply.
  • Lasts for 24 hours, literally !
  • Soft / creamy texture.
  • Does not crease / smudge.
  • Highly pigmented.
  • Inexpensive.
  • Comes with a free brush. 😛
Why I didn’t like it ?
  • It dries fast, hence needs to be quick while applying / blending.
Rating :
Maybelline Color Tattoo, 25 Bad to the Bronze is available for 350 INR /-
Overall, I think it is worth a try for people looking for everyday / neutral eye shadow  It is not very expensive so you can go out and experiment with bold colors. Have you tried them yet ?
Love,

Hina.
