Description :
NYX Loose Pearl Eye Shadow features a mineral based formula that combines intense color and shimmer to create a flawless effervescent pearl effect.
Ingredients :
Mica, Aluminium Starch Octenylsuccinate, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, N-Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, and Isobutylparaben. MAY CONTAIN: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Chromium Oxide Green (CI 77288), FD&C Yellow No.5 Al. Lake (CI 19140:1), FD&C Blue No.1 Al. Lake (CI 42090:2), Ultramarine Blue (CI 77007) , Carimina (CI 75470), Iron Oxide Black (CI 77499), Iron Oxide Red (CI 77491), or Iron Oxide Yellow (CI 77492).
Directions :
Sweep across the eye, using alone or with a combination of NYX Eye Shadows to create the desired effect. Finish the eye look with any NYX eye liner, mascara, Special Effects or Fabulous Lashes.
My Review :
I was a bit disappointed when I received NYX Ultra Pearl Mania in my November Vellvette Box. NYX according to me is not a luxury but drugstore brand. I had never used loose eye shadow before nor would have ever tried them if it wasn’t for the free sample.
It comes in a tiny plastic bottle with black cap and fonts printed in black color. The bottle is transparent which makes it easier to find in a messy vanity like mine. 😛 Fanta Pearl is a soft pinkish peachy coral color with a hint of gold in it. It is extremely pigmented and shimmery without any glitter. If you like super shimmery color then I would recommend these to you.
A little goes a long way with this color. It lasted on my eyelids fir almost the entire day. I loved the versatility of this color. It can be used on eyes, can be mixed with some Vaseline for a nice pinkish lip gloss and I also find myself using it as a blush for a nice glow on my cheeks. 🙂
I have only two complaints with this eye shadow. First, it gets a little messy while applying and you have to be very careful especially if you are using loose eye shadow for the first time like me. Secondly, its difficult to dip my brush in the bottle and every time I have to put it on a tissue paper while applying and transfer the remaining to the bottle. Its PITA to me.
Overall, I feel its a nice pigmented eye shadow which comes in amazing colors. It is also very versatile as I mentioned before. I would definitely go for other colors in this range.
