Shatter ? Shatter ! Shatterrrrr… I know Shatter is nothing new for most of us by now but its my first shatter ever and I am going insane.

My Review :
I had once tried my friend’s unbranded shatter and it didn’t even shatter, juts a single crack or something. Since then, I had decided to never look at shatters again but this baby proved me wrong. I am in love with this Shatter.
I am new to shatter so I am still learning the right way to apply it. By far I have learned that the thicker the coat, the better and thicker the cracks will be. If you apply a thin coat, the texture will have very small cracks and it may appear a bit grey – ish. I suggest a thicker coat and don’t apply multiple coats please.
Also, it doesn’t work without a base coat. Without the base, its a normal gray-ish nail polish. Make sure that the base coat is dried completely before you apply the shatter otherwise it won’t look nice. It has a matte finish and you can use a top coat to add some shine. I haven’t used any on the pics above.
The shatter would stay on your nails like forever. The pics were clicked after almost 6 days and you can notice very minimal chipping. I think it would last way longer with a top coat. My only complaint is that it dries very fast and the formula in the bottle thickens a bit after sometime and becomes difficult to use but it is still way better than the unbranded shatter I used.
I love how it can add so much a Fun and Drama to a plain nail color. I have used it with OPI’s Moonsoner or Later here and I already know that it would look stunning with bright yellow, neon pink, silver, gold, metallic and gradient underneath the shatter.
Overall, I heart this Shatter from O.P.I and would definitely recommend it to all you ladies out there. Give it a try, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

- Attractive.
Why I didn’t like it ?
- Dried out very easily.
- The formula becomes a little thick to apply.
- Expensive.

i wud nt buy it…. way too expensive,,, miss claire does have crackle polishes fr arnd 125 bucks… seems a better bargain… however we all know that opi is the best…

You know i was just like you when i got my shatter nail paint but after a time i got bored! 😀 You just can’t do a lot of things with a shatter nail paint 🙁 But i use them on my toe nails for fun 😀
