Schwarzkopf BonaCure Repair Rescue Shampoo & Conditioner – Review
I love getting my hair washed at a salon during special occasions. A salon hair wash makes my tresses soft, manageable & shiny! Unfortunately, it also comes with a hefty price tag. When I received Schwarzkopf BonaCure Repair Rescue Shampoo & Conditioner for testing, I thought that I will now be able to achieve the same results at home. Oh boy! I was so wrong.
Schwarzkopf BonaCure Repair Rescue Shampoo & Conditioner:
For Damaged, Distressed or Porous Hair
The secret to BC REPAIR RESCUE lies in our highest concentration of breakthrough proteolipids, a powerful combination of hydrolyzed keratin and lipid components, that restore the protective layer of virgin hair. The Amino Cell Rebuild, with Amino Acids and Panthenol, acts to perfect the cortex, rebuilding the architecture of the hair from the inside out, restoring strength and elasticity, while adding vital moisture. The Cell Perfector Technology provides additional care – repairing the hair by filling structural gaps, restoring elasticity and imparting deep shine throughout.
Schwarzkopf BonaCure Repair Rescue Deep Nourishing Shampoo: An intensively caring shampoo for extremely damaged normal to thick hair.
Schwarzkopf BonaCure Repair Rescue Conditioner: Intensive creamy conditioner for damaged hair.
My Review on Schwarzkopf BonaCure Repair Rescue Shampoo & Conditioner:
Both, the shampoo & the conditioner of the BC Repair Rescue comes in a tall red & white bottle packaging. Even though the bottles are quite tall, they are fairly light & easy to use. Since these are salon range packaging, they are not travel friendly. These smell very fresh & sweet just like a salon treatment does.
BC Repair Rescue Deep Nourishing Shampoo is white in color and has a light, runny texture. Since I dilute my shampoos in water, the runny texture doesn’t bother me. The shampoo lathers up well and is easy to work it. It leaves my hair & scalp clean in a single application. However, it does require a second round on an oiled hair. The shampoo comes off very easily too.
I like the sweet smell which lingers in my hair for at least a day. It makes my hair feel fresh, clean and imparts a lot of shine to my hair. However, I didn’t notice any difference in my hair texture & strength.
BC Repair Rescue Deep Nourishing Conditioner has a runny texture unlike the conditioners and this does bothers me. Due to it’s texture, it spreads on nicely on my hair lengths but it tends to slip off from my wet hair. I do not find the conditioner hydrating or nourishing. Since I have very dry & damaged hair, this does no good for me. However, this range also includes a mask which I am obsessed with and use that instead of this conditioner. Will review it in another post.
[box type=”shadow” ]Overall, I found the Schwarzkopf BonaCure Repair Rescue Shampoo & Conditioner to be quite average. Since this is a salon exclusive range, my expectation were quite high. It does make my hair manageable & makes it shiny but nothing more than that. I guess these would work nicely for oily hair but I would definitely not recommend it to someone with dry, damaged or chemically treated hair.
