My Review :
Papaya contains papain which helps in exfoliating skin to reveal new cells and soften at the same time. Papaya benefits skin as it is rich in vitamin A, E and C and anti-oxidants which moisturize the skin and clears it from dirt and dark spots. Papaya not only cleanses the skin but it is also known for making the skin glow.
I know.. I know it’s not a post about benefits of papaya but I think its important to you know what you are getting on your skin before you slap your face with it. After exploring the amazing benefits of papaya, lets see what I think about it as a scrub, shall we ?
Vedic Line Papaya Scrub comes in a cheap plastic tub with a papaya colored screw lid on top. It also contains a lid beneath the top lid to prevent leaks. I have learnt to live with tub packaging now but I think they could have done better. Its boring !
The scrub has a strong sweet fragrance (papaya + clay) which I am not really fond off. It looks like a mixture of fullers earth + papaya with walnut granules, which it is. The texture is creamy which makes it easier to apply and massage. The scrub contains walnut granules which I find too harsh against my skin. I massage it on my wet face using light circular motions. Thankfully, it doesn’t break me out. If you have sensitive skin, be as gentle as you can. Don’t over scrub, please !
Since the Vedic Line papaya scrub contains clay, it takes a little time and lots of water to wash it off. The quantity is good and would last for a while. Result ? My skin feels super soft and clean with a healthy glow. I haven’t noticed nay brightening effects but that fine. I am happy with clean and glowing skin. 🙂
Overall, it’s an average scrub in my opinion. It makes my skin soft, clean and glowing but does nothing extraordinary.

Why I didn’t like it ?
- OTT fragrance.
- Harsh granules.
- No brightening effect.

Maybe.. But my sister used it too and she’s like majorly tanned.. It definitely made her skin clear but no brightening on her either 🙂
